This initiative aims to reduce pollution from the Freezer Burn event as much as possible. This encompasses the event's production, camp construction, energy usage, and waste management by participants.

Not only will this help lessen the substantial environmental footprint the event produces but it will also help make Freezer Burn more financially accessible for everyone over time!

Greener Burn is an open-source initiative, meaning that the action comes from you— because lasting social movements start with the passion of their community members. This initiative provides the group support you'll need, so you don't need any special education or experience! Your ideas can take many different forms, including but not limited to:

• Managing your own or your camp's waste more ecologically, such as through compost collection (Expand the Leave No Trace principle!)
• Transitioning your camp's electrical and heating systems to 100% solar power (with an optional fossil fuel backup generator, if needed)
• Building solar-powered art
• Transitioning your art-car to an EMV (Electric Mutant Vehicle) </aside>
