Survey Volunteers Still Needed

The Emissions Survey Team needs your help! While we’ve filled 75% of our shifts (thank you!!!!), we’re still looking for a few more helpers. You don’t need any special skills, just an eye for detail and the desire to help out. We have open shifts on:

Friday 4-7pm

Saturday 10am-1pm

If you could volunteer 3 hours of your time to a really good cause, we’d be very grateful for your gift. You can learn more and signup for a shift at the Volunteering page on the Freezer Burn website.

Support the new “Radical Rideshare” app and make a new friend!

“Radical self-reliance, but for people who hate driving alone.”

We need drivers willing to offer a seat to a burner in need, especially in Calgary and Edmonton! It’s quick and easy to do, provided you with a new friend that will get you excited about Freezer Burn AND Tommity would be eternally grateful for your support to get this new app off the ground!

Finding or offering a ride shouldn’t be a hassle. For years, many in our community have relied on social media to coordinate transportation. Still, posts can easily get lost in the feed or lack the clarity needed to be truly helpful.

That’s why we created the Freezer Burn Ride Share App—an easy-to-use platform that makes connecting drivers and riders simple, easy, and efficient. Plus, it’s built with privacy and community values in mind, without relying on traditional social media platforms.

**Access the app here (and be sure to bookmark it for later!)**

To offer a ride, simply click on the “Add a Trip” button and fill out the details. You may need to quickly verify your email address.

And if you’re looking for a ride and do see one already available, click on the “Create an Alert” button to get notified when a near you becomes available. On smartphones, you may find it easier to access if click the “hide map” button first.
